Other Support Benefits in the UK

Beyond the main categories of disability, income, family, and housing support, there are several other benefits that could help with specific circumstances. These include support for carers, bereavement payments, help with energy costs during winter, and concessions such as the Blue Badge parking scheme. Many of these benefits are not means-tested and may be available regardless of your income or savings. Some, such as Cold Weather Payments, are paid automatically when conditions are met. If you are caring for someone, have recently lost a partner, or are struggling with energy costs, it is worth checking what additional support could be available to you.

What help is available with energy costs?
Several benefits may help with energy costs. Winter Fuel Payment is an annual payment of between £100 and £300 for eligible households with someone over State Pension age.
